I took a really traditional frame profile and used spray paint to create a grunge, street art feel. I wanted the juxtaposition of the traditional frame against a contemporary art medium. I worked on an impressionist style portrait as the main subject but I needed her to look strong against all the movement and colour in the painted frame. I wanted a graffiti feel to the  frame by using the spray paints.
