Held Within explores containment, memory, and the quiet weight of internal experience. The work reflects on the things carried beneath the surface — emotions, histories, and fragments of experience that remain present even when unseen.

Layered textures and softened forms create a sense of depth and enclosure within the painting. Areas of concealment and emergence sit alongside one another, suggesting both protection and vulnerability. Rather than offering resolution, the work holds space for reflection on what is absorbed, retained, and quietly lived with over time.
