Daisy is a playful exploration of the unexpected forms that can emerge through abstraction. Built through layers of colour, texture and overlapping marks, the painting gradually revealed something I hadn’t set out to create — the unmistakable suggestion of a cow.

Rich earthy tones, deep blues, flashes of pink and expressive marks create a textured surface in which forms appear and disappear. What began as an abstract composition became a moment of recognition, inviting the viewer to discover their own shapes, figures and stories within the painting.

There is a sense of humour and curiosity in Daisy, a reminder that sometimes the most interesting discoveries are the ones we never planned.
