While selecting images for my spray paint practice, I noticed they were always of African women. It made me realise that these were the women I grew up seeing around me. Although I don’t have many childhood memories, I vividly recall the fabrics, colours, patterns, and the different head wraps. I wanted to capture some of those memories in this piece.
